PostSubject: New immigrant tanker   Sun Feb 04, 2018 4:19 pm

Hi all

Long time lurker but with a mission. We’ve been going through immigration process in Canada which is finally done. My family and I land on 12th March 2018. So hello from South Africa for now.

Is there a list of 2018 listed anywhere? I’m very keen to attend a meet and see how it all works. There is nothing like this in South Africa. I suspect it’s cause it cost prohibitive here. We’re going to be settling in the Burlington area.

Welcome to the forum Evan!

We’re in our winter down time, so the forum is not to busy right now.  Our season doesn’t really start until almost the end of May, weather permitting.   So you’ll have plenty of time to get settle before we get started.  We should also have the schedule ready before spring comes.   Your lucky that you will be close to all 3 fields.

If you need any assistance getting setup, just asked. There are many here willing to help.

HL Panzer III   |   HL Tiger   |   HL Jagdpanther   |   HL Panther   |   Mato Sherman
Hooben Elefant   |   HL Pershing   |   HL Bergepanzer IV   |   Tamiya Leopard 1A   |   WSN T-34
HL "Golden" Pan-Tiger   |   M16 Halftrack   |   HL Panzer IV   |   Tamiya KV-1   |   Tamiya Tiger

Welcome to the forum.

I expect the schedules will be coming out in the next few months.

Traditionally, we start in April at the Black Creek Field in the Niagara area, field conditions permitting. (we never know at this time of the year, if we will have a "soggy" spring, here)

Welcome to Canada. I hope that you become accustomed and acclimated to our weather and that you will enjoy your life here in our country.

Always glad to meet more and more people who are interested in what we do!

Welcome ! I have to say that the word "immigrant" and "tanker" probably never appeared next to each other in the history of English language, and when I google it the first image/video/item that comes up is this:

I am hoping that Mr. Dean would have an indoor meet before the first official outdoor meet in May !
