So I got these flanged ball bearing that measure ID 8mm and OD 22mm to try on my T-90 chassis (One for my T-72B and one for my MS-90).  Turns out that the plastic chassis opening is 20mm, so no biggie, but then I realized that the drive shaft is just over 8mm (8.06mm). So anyone has any idea how I can fit this ? What are my chances of sanding down the shaft evenly by about 0.6mm over all ? No chance in hell ?

Bigger question is how.

Hi Mike,

I've done it using my lathe and sandpaper.

Just realized that if I run the gearbox with a sand paper then it is kinda like a lathe..........  :-)

Hey Barry, what did you use on the lathe ? Metal sand paper or just regular sand paper ?

Hey Mike,

I used wet dry, Aluminum Oxide.

I would try using a drill maybe before using the gearbox assuming you have a drill that runs pretty true.

Barry worked like a charm. I just run the gearbox and then wrap a sand paper around the shaft and off we go. Only took about 5 mins on each side !
