The above photos showcase some of the new features of the field built this season.

Images turned out great. I tried to add a couple of the new road under the cathedral but they rotated 90 degrees. But everybody will see how well the new features work next week. Much more interesting battleground. Should be even better when we get the buildings etc. on the field

For sure; between adding the wood buildings and determining final placement of the concrete ones the field will be awesome for the first battleday!

Posted a few other images up on HS. Although I think at one point I temporarily broke the board for about a minute 

Did not recognize the field at all. Should be interesting next Saturday !

PZIII runs great. No problem on any of the terrain and a very manageable low speed compared to say an nonhit Tamiya. I only tested the emitter at home so only about 15 feet but it and the apple work fine. That light tank 3 second firing could be deadly if a heavy misses a shot at me 

Just to put into perspective why it took so long to get the field into shape this is what we started with a month ago. That "soil" was not fun to work with in the lousy weather we've had the last 6 weeks

Levelling that trestle bridge still brings back nightmares!

Headed out to Mt. Hope for 2pm tomorrow so I'm going to head to the field about 10 and test some tanks and also do some test set ups for the wooden buildings etc. especially around the cathedral townsite until 1pm. Fingers crossed for a rare rain free day

you can leave buildings out Martin. We will be there for 4.

It's range inside was fine. But outside in the sun yesterday at the field it was only maybe 3 feet. Now I was trying to hit the KV-2 which was impossible unless it was on an elevated part but it could hit the Panther just not from far away. Maybe on a cloudy day it will be much better

Issues there somewhere! FYI I will be going to the field for 4 tomorrow (Friday) to get a jump on Saturday . I have the feeling I will be busy with newbies on Saturday!

Tomorrow is rain all day (what a surprise) but Saturday looks good. I just hope the construction related traffic jam on the 401 west isn't like Wednesday morning. Took me 80 minutes to get from Yonge and Eglinton to the 401 and 427.

Actually rain here ends in the afternoon just in time for me to set up. Good luck in traffic Saturday Martin!
