I’m pretty sure it’s gone, but I haven’t been there yet; I’ll have a definitive answer in 1-1/2 hours.

I think I might come up in the afternoon tomorrow. A lot of clutter/obstacles that need to be moved before we can start laying any more roads etc and need to be able to get the wheelbarrow onto the south side of the field so going to get a way to access the field with it by the picnic tables but also be able to get across the river with it

Can only do so much anyway. Just trying to re-construct some of what we had to de-construct to change things. That has to be done before we can move forward as it is. Also now I have a Henntec ready to go if my Taigen Panther idler decides to come off, but they will probably suddenly become reliable so I'll bring it up to give it some run time early in the year rather than the idlers falling off 5 seconds into a battle as usual

I concur with Dean; no snow at field but some spots are a little soft.

I'm going to be stacking bricks and removing and sorting the soil on the 2 sand hills that were by the cathedral. Also going to properly fix up and slightly raise the rubber rollbahn from the 2 ruined farm buidings that goes down the middle and also plot out the airfield site. That opens up the area that Wojtek wants to build the brick road from the river to the hedges that cuts through where the old town site was. All that area is sand so no issue working there

Good stuff Wojtek. I'll be there about 1 to get that area where all the bricks and sandhills and the old townsite cleaned out. That should give you a clear run on the road build.

That was just roughed in for member comments. If that stays, everything will be pulled up, the soil leveled/graded and put back...hey didn’t most planes in WW2 take off from grass fields?

Kudos Guys! Lots of hard work. Is there a scale drawing plan of the field in the works? Cheers

The decision finally after 3 years of what to do with that water tank was crucial. It really held things up. We can now totally develop that quarter of the field. Still lots of grunt work in the future but the really heavy stuff is done. We do need extra hands though asĀ stuff like screening the crappier fill that we will be stuck with going forward is time consuming for instance. But it's mostly laying the paths and reinforcing bridge foundations and rewarding stuff like planting trees etc left where having more help just bringing stuff like the bricks and raking will accelerate things. Plus it's always nice to get some input from different sets of eyes on positioning of buildings and features etc.

Once the pile of bricks are gone the interesting driving options that wide valley is going to open up will become more apparent than the images can show. The field is also going to be great in the different varieties of battling environment in the quadrants. We will have Monte Cassino and it's various sheltered positions and runs between the ridges, Ren's hill and the extended farm with the castle complex which is going to be extended even more by bringing the little tower into that hill as well and the farm is going to be almost tripled in size with lots of trees will make it a great place for the smaller tanks to drive around and ambush. The new Cathedral hill and the massive sloping valley plus with a townsite surrounding the cathedral giving some urban driving might end up being the most interesting part yet once it's fully developed this year. Should make for some great battles with the smaller/medium tanks and Stug type vehicles.

Snow on Wednesday. It's really not been much warmer than it was this January. Fortunately been able to at least get everything dug out between the crappy weather periods and certainly know how the water is flowing through
