| Yes, that's what I have read too, about them being on M46's.. I have read what is involved in the conversion from an M26 to M46 and it is a bit more ambitious than first meets the eye, from what I remember because I did check into a while ago; and I am known not that ambitious But is is a good thought. I have posted a picture in the Gallery under Allied Tanks. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Another option I just came up with;
This one involves salvaging something I already have, my first airsoft HL Panther; - install Mato 3:1’s - set it up with an SLU - gun, forget the recoil feature, take an Airsoft unit and gut it, cut the lower housing off, leaving the upper part to support the gun tube and handle elevation control (removing the lower part of the unit allows for clearance for the SLU components below the turret). - Install an HL Flash Unit (I recall Tim said this was possible without a recoil unit) - Refinish in a new camo/marking scheme This would use a tank I already have, wouldn’t need to buy new. Would use a tank that is on the shelf since I don’t see much future airsoft use, unfortunately, the way things are. More savings than trying to sell it “as is” and buying new. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| If I go with it, for sure. I am still researching a good, late war Panther G camo. I have found out that the HL Panther G version was introduced just after they stopped using that disc camo But even with stencils, it might have been quite challenging to do. There are two different patterns I am trying to authenticate right now, one is yellow with very fine sprayed green and brown waves, the other is a splinter or disruptive camo. We'll see what I find out, late war stuff can be a challenge to get info on. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| Well, the verdict is in, Panther G.
Description;
- Take the 1st airsoft Panther I bought 2 years ago.
- Strip and refinish
- Remove airsoft and convert to flash
- Mato 3:1's
- SLU _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

| No recoil, just the HL high powered accessory flash unit.
My present SLU Panther was converted to recoil but in observing it, that high powered flash is quite visible, the recoil not so much, so I an just going with the flash.
This one has an upgrade airsoft which will come out and be a spare for my Jagdpanther which will stay airsoft
Then I will take the shell of an old airsoft unit and cut the bottom off of it to support the gun tube and handle the elevation.
Even though the Panther is a big tank, it is shallow through the hull and the full airsoft gun unit projects far enough into the hull to conflict with the SLU electronics. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."

Stinger No, prob.'s It will take a while, with summer "distractions", though. I will need to perfect my airbrushing technique to do my first choice of camo, I will need to spray many, very thin squiggly lines; if that falls through, I have the late-war disruptive camo as a contingency. This will be a recycle. I did a fair job on it as my first tank but I realize the camo pattern is wrong for a "G", the decals have yellowed a bit in two years and it is airsoft in an IR Can Am world. This will get it "off the shelf" with a new life. _____________________________________________ "Luck favours the prepared!."
