However there is nothing stopping you from running the wheels while your propeller is going, or even steering with the wheels also. My propeller is on a knob so I can crank it and just leave it running even on dry land. I did link the rudder to the front steering.
I believe in real life the wheels does spin in the water to help with the propulsion.
You need to stop obsessing about running this thing as a boat. It is not. I have been researching and after I posted that I found some reference that running wheels on the real thing had potential to almost doubl3 the knots. That was interesting |

| Hey there, sorry to bother you again. Am I wrong to think rubber shielded bearings deep in this chassis would have been better choice than metal shields??
did you question this? I cant find any info if these ones in the stock kit are anything special like SS or ceramic.
But it would seem like ceramic rubber shields would be optimal, no?
you can't readily get to these bearings to do anything with |

| Are you worry about rusting if you swim with it ? I have to revisit it again. It's been a long time when I put this together. |

| correct. I think I was able to find answers. From what I can tell they are not special bearings so I did order some rubber shielded bearings. I will put them in the areas exposed to the elements.
It's tough when youre new to a kit and there is not much out there for info. I didn't mean to hijack this thread! lol Although I did hear there is info on facebook but I am not on facebook. Mybe I should see if other forums had builds going on. I believe this is a tank forum? I did actually order mato toys tank 1/16th scale. I ordered from Toucan hobbies, that might have been a mistake!
I definitely wanted to use in this water. I have some tentative incognito ideas to add booster props and bouyancy.
Not sure if things will pan out but we'll see |

| This kit is expensive so you won't find much out there. It is not like many people will shell out $2,000+ for a kit although in my mind it is worth the money for what it is.
I think also it is a cross between military and large scale RC trucks.
Its been a while since I built it as I got it when it first came out.
Just to finish your thought there at some point I will open it up and see if there are any other rusty spots. Given the way it swim I am not likely to run it again in water. Now that I have it going like bat out of hell like their promo video with the 3S I am completely happy with its on land performance. |

| I don't run it long enough to juice out the battery so can't tell you. 2S was just too slow and if you want to run it like their promo speed you need 3S. My 3S is a 5400 mAh I think. |
