| Sorry to say that conditions down here will not allow us to hold the April 28th Meet at Fort Erie (Black Creek)
This has been a wet spring and we had 2 1/2"of rain here last weekend.
It is not dry enough to cut any grass, mine, or the field and the ground is like a wet sponge.
We will re-group for May 19th

| May 19th Meet at Fort Erie CANCELLED, due to weather, 70% to 80% prercent chance of precip. for Saturday;
U.S. National Weather Service for Buffalo NY
Saturday
Rain before 1pm, then a chance of showers between 1pm and 4pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4pm. High near 65. East wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Environment Canada for Fort Erie;
| Sat, 19 May | Cloudy with 70 percent chance of showers. High 17. | | Night | Cloudy with 60 percent chance of showers. Low 10. |

| Does this meet May 19th may be a wash out ... I come from Brantford (90 minute drive) ... is it worth the effort??? |

When the event is cancelled due to weather, it means no one will be attending, so there will not be anyone at the field on May 19th. The tank field there is outdoors and grass covered and it needs to be prepared on the Thurs. or Fri. before the meet. This means cutting the grass very short and removing the grass clippings so the tanks can operate properly. We need to have a dry Friday and Saturday to make this happen and we are not getting a dry Saturday this weekend, according to the forecasts. We have to watch the forecasts and make the call by the Thursday before the meet is a go, or not. The cancellation notices go out as soon as we know it is a no-go, so out of town people know not to make the trip for nothing.

| I am working on getting the use of the lawn tractor at Black Creek to do a rough cut on the field.
Aiming for some time between now and June 21st (for the rough cut), to get ready for the Meet on June 23th.
Will provide updates.

Yes, for the Meet which is scheduled for the 23rd, but, I want to get the rough cut done on or before the 21st in readiness for the final prep on the evening of June 22, or the morning of June 23

Thanks, still working on it. I have lots of other commitments on the go right now, but am doing my best to fit it in, likely next Monday for the rough cut, if I can set that up with Mike at Black Creek, and the weather holds.

I am scheduled to meet with Mike (Black Creek contact) at the field at 7:00 PM on Monday, June 18th to go over the use of the tractor. I will confirm this Sunday evening., main concern is the weather. If anyone shows up and has a weed trimmer, that would be a plus.
